I've only been here once, but the wait staff are pleasant, the food came quickly, and my taco salad was very fresh, full, and delicious!
Great space, great location, food is okay. Not horrible but I don't find myself ever itching to go back. I end up there somehow though.
Consistently good food, great service and atmosphere! Very caring owners and friendly staff! Packed house for Putnam Lions Club Trivia night! Last Thursday of the month! Always a good time 😊!
Great food excellent service definitely recommend and will be returning!
Went to First Friday and it was cold. They found me a to go cup and gave me a hot chocolate! I had eaten there before and the food is so good. The wait staff is wonderful and I think it was the owner who gave me the chocolate.
Ice cream was old and bad tasting. Would not go back.
Easy going feel to the place and the food and drinks are unpretentious. Above average experience in an average town. The manager Keith keeps it light. The outside patio needs a bit of a refresh but it still serves as a nice change of scenery.
Nice atmosphere, great service, good food
Cold food & service! After waiting an hour for our order (and noticing people who came in after us finishing their meals), I asked another waitress (manager?) if there was a problem with our order. Instead of offering to find out the status of our order, she reminded me that she was not actually our waitress and that our order “will be ready when it’s ready.” I would have asked our waitress, but she had not checked on us for over 30 minutes. Twenty minutes later, we finally got our food: no apology, no explanation, and the food was cold. They have a nice menu, and the food was tasty--just know your place as a customer if choosing to eat here.
Good beer and tasty food, the wedge salad is awesome...
Excellent spot for a casual lunch or great dinner. I've been in a few times and have not had a bad experience. They have a solid menu full of classics and the big seller for me creative options. On this trip I ordered the rib eye from the specials menu. I planned on a good meal and was blown away. Price is on point. Two of us eating certified Angus with an app and a few drinks, under $100!!! Honestly my one caveat would be my order was a little mixed up. I was fully made whole so they are solid with great service. I will return again for certain
Good food great rustic vibe. Only think for me that kept it from 5 star is didn't have any of the beers I like on tap
I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time. My sister as well.Yesterday we've decided what better excuse. For it was a belated birthday outing I had owed her. Both of us loved the historical retro charm of the place. It exuded such warmth. A very welcoming hearth. The staff was very pleasant. Such a cheerful upbeat personality. Also informative when we we inquired about menu items. I could go on and on. I look forward to the next visit. Which will be soon and more company.
Fantastic Reuben sandwich and fries for St Patrick's Day. Service was great too. Just missed the festivities, but wished the music playing was at least Irish-ish. It was still early...and still the 17th!
Consistently great service, good beer, and great atmosphere.
Great for a casual bite or a special night out. We had a group of ten and had a fantastic time.
A nice historic brew pub and restaurant. The food was delicious and a good value. The local beers are good and the staff is top notch.
Great place, nice location with great food and attentive staff!
This place was awesome! Great food, excellent service and good beer!
Good food, great staff. Nice to see that a manager will pick up a finished plate. Dont take offense, that is a COMPLIMENT. :) All the staff work together to make this a great dining establishment. Will definitely return with the family.
I had the opportunity to try The Crossings. We planned to celebrate my grandson's baptism yesterday afternoon there. The waitstaff and owner was very attentive and friendly to my guests. The appetizers that we ordered were very good and the portions we plentiful. Everyone enjoyed themselves. I recommend you try The Crossings.
Stopped in for appetizers. Had the cheese fries and they were OK. My friend had the personal pizza and enjoyed it. Server was very friendly and good.
Stopped in fort the first time today for an early dinner. Was able to find parking no problem although I could see a potential issue during normal dinner hours as there are several restaurants and bars in the area and parking I'd shared for the downtown Putnam district. The restaurant is in a really cool old building and it makes a good place to grab a bite to eat or sit at the bar for a drink. The service was excellent, the staff friendly, the menu had lots of options and it was hard to choose as they all sounded good. They have several beers on tap including a few they brew in house, a full bar and wine list if you'd rather go that route. We had the pretzel sticks appetizer which were soft, warm and tasty. I had the brakeman Turkey burger, my wife a grilled chicken sandwich and we had sweet potato fries, all quite good. We saw several other diner's meals go past which all looked good as well. Definitely worth a visit should you find yourself in downtown Putnam.
Nice atmosphere with good food and good beer they brew. I would go out of my way to go back again.
Great atmosphere. Tasty food! Customers and staff were friendly and awesome!
This past Saturday I ordered take out from The Crossings, which included 5 burgers and 1 sandwich. I called in the order and reviewed it with the hostess. When I got home with our order, 3 out of 6 meals were wrong. We received two bleu burgers, not two rodeo burgers. Burgers were well done (almost not edible). One was supposed to be rare and it was barely pink. The turkey BLT with crispy bacon (written in the description) had rubbery bacon that was barely done. So I decided to call the restaurant to let them know what happened. The man who answered the phone apologized and told me a manager would call me back. Guess what? That never happened. Sorry we will never be back. Jessica Tuesday's has much better sandwiches!
I honestly enjoyed the dishes and service, fantastic area to my house. The staff members are always super friendly. Would recommend to others.
It was absolutely fabulous!!! The turkey sandwich and the sweet potato fries!! OMG the best!! Service was awesome and the place was very clean.
Great atmosphere and great food and service.. definitely will recommend to people. My family ordered some of the burgers and I ordered the amazing chowda... Everyone raved at how great everything tasted. Definitely will be coming back here in the future.. we have added this place to one of our family favorites.
very nice little restaurant. great food. They were out of the beer I wanted to try, but they had a decent selection otherwise.
Friendly, accommodated our party quick and food was delicious..,💖💖
Service was good, wait staff very friendly and attentive. Food on the other hand well not so much. I had a bacon bleu cheese cheeseburger, serve on a ciabatta bread with a side of house chips. None of it was very good, chips were a joke, over cooked not salted. Burger was cooked as I requested but was extremely thick, might as well have been a meatball. The ciabatta bread was just bad, knew that going into tho and asked for different bread but that was what it was. Buddy had ribs, they were smothered in sauce, like a pool of it, that was to cover up them being over cooked, problem was they still werent fall off the bone cooked, just basically burnt and dry. Recommend it for drinks and hanging out, would not recommend it for food. I mean it's a burger, c'mon now, one if the most basic things a bar setting restaurant can serve, at least do it good.
Great food. Great atmosphere great servive..All time being unique
The food here is OUTSTANDING! The poutine is hands down the best I've ever had.As a private chef, I am super picky about eating out, and I will be back again! Thank you!!
This place didn’t let us down! We’re fairly new to town, and hadn’t been here before. What a great atmosphere, the staff we very welcoming, the food was delicious, the price was spot on, portions were perfect, and the salmon was super tasty! Thanks crossings!
Great food, great staff live entertainment great price s
Allowed staff to have mask below chin, had no effort to keep social distancing once inside. The staff was uninformed on the menu. Food poorly prepared.
Went to eat here after spending time in the area at some antique shops. Very good food. Staff is friendly, and prices reasonable.
All fresh and made on site food. Jalapeno Poppers are the best. Wings with bourbon sauce, the best. Owner very friendly and the staff too. The restaurant is clean and nice. It's a old railroad depot. *****
The atmosphere is wonderful. The waitress we had was very good what was also nice to see, and experience was the owner is very attentive, and was checking up on everyone. The food was delicious I had a burger, and my friend had a Reuben both on point at a reasonable price. If your ever in the Putnam area or want to go on a date with trip make sure to put this as a place to stop and have some good food in a good atmosphere.
Good food, friendly staff and good social distancing practices. Lots of nearby parking.
Delicious! Unique menu items. Rueben nacho chips were great. The short rib sandwich melted in your mouth
My burger was good but my wife's fish was just ok. Staff was very friendly, I would go back but not if it's out of the way m
The best wedge salad with buffalo chicken !! Huge menu selection, drinks are amazing 😉😉
Food was excellent the signature burger with the pulled pork on it is a bit messy, but tastes amazing. house chips a tad overdone and plain but kinda dipping them in the burger runoff was good. House rootbeer a bit weak? Watered? Was a nice change from the usual types though. 8/10 even with covid still around was a great lunch and I will certainly return.
I like this place! They give splendid food, their menu is decent, The chief cook in that place is a real authority in the kitchen, I like very much eating all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the attitude towards the clients is very good too. I visit often this place and I not even once was disappointed. I highly recommend it.
They were great for Nesty and I we ordered as u can see the lobster rolls and i got the onion ring (best ibe ever had. From tockport thru the Cape) except one waitress and a customer who sat there drinking 2 drinks i believe so unfortunately for our waitresses... i would like to give a special shout out to Brandon (i think his name is) he works in the back i believe and he was a great help along w an amazing person in general.. Thank you so much for great food and drinks and most of all service The Crossings in Putnam CT
Live music, great food, a good selection of different beers that change consistently, wonderful service. This is one of my favorite places to eat. *Edit - went here today 4/6/17 and was terribly dissatisfied. Slow service and a waitress in the back just hanging out with three other guys. Not sure if any of them worked there but one kept going in the back. They were loud and obnoxious. For a night where there was nobody in the restaurant, slow service shouldn't have been an issue and the behavior of the waitress was enough to keep me away for a while. Had this been my first trip, I'd never go back. Very unprofessional!
I had high expectations for this place. It looks like a nice historic place. However; it was horrible. The waitress made endless mistakes on our order. Incorrect side dishes, incorrect drinks, forgot our order, didn’t bring napkins or utensils. We won’t be going back again.
